[Huawei] Create service account user and security group
Log into the Huawei platform as an administrator user
Select Users from the navigation pane, and click Create User.
Enter a Username for the account, and optionally input an Email address, Description and External identity ID
Select ‘Programmatic access’ for the Access Type and ‘Access key’ as the Credential Type, then click Next
On the next screen, select ‘Create new groups’
Create a ‘User Group’ with the following details:
Click Create, and let the page reload.
Verify that the created IAM user is displayed in the user list
Download the Access Key when given the option:
You will need the Access Key Id and Secret Access Key on the platform.
[Huawei] Authorize the User Group
Go to User Groups, click watchTowrReadOnlyAccess
Select Authorize
Search within the permissions options for ‘Tenant Guest’, and select Tenant Guest, which grants read-only access to resources for the integration
Click Next
Select All resources and click OK
If a popup dialog appears stating the permissions will take into effect 15-30 minutes after, click OK.
Click Finish
[watchTowr] Enter Huawei Cloud credential details
Navigate to the Integrations page on the watchTowr platform and select Huawei Cloud
Click Add a new connection to open the integration modal form
Provide a Connection name for the integration
Enter the AccessKey ID and Secret AccessKey that you provisioned for the service account into the respective fields
Click Verify connection and wait for the system to test access
Click the Continue button to save the integration
Review the Integrations page:
If the connection is successful, the integration will appear under the Huawei section with your connection details listed. Otherwise, try again or contact Support.
